Nunez-Tesheira trial dates set

The matter will go on trial on April 16 and 17 and hearing the lawsuit is Justice Vasheist Kokaram in the Port-of-Spain High Court. The matter was listed for a status hearing yesterday before Justice Kokaram.

In her lawsuit, Nunez-Tesheira claims negligence caused her husband’s death.

The lawsuit names Gulf View Medical Centre, urologist, Dr Lester Goetz, and anaesthesiologist, Dr Crisen Jendra Roopchand, as defendants. The defendants have denied the allegations.

Russell Tesheira, Clico’s vice-president of sales and agencies administration, died on April 13, 2004, shortly after undergoing surgery. Douglas Mendes SC and Nyree Alfonso are representing Tesheira while Kemraj Harrikissoon appears for Gulf View Medical Centre and Dr Roopchand, and Michael Hamel-Smith appears for Dr Goetz.
