Arima woman raped while bathing

ARIMA police are now searching for four men who raped a Carapo Village, Arima woman while she was bathing in her outside bathroom. According to reports, at around 5.30 pm on Tuesday the 22-year-old woman entered her outside bathroom and began bathing when four men armed with a gun and cutlasses barged into the room, held her down and took turns raping her. They then fled the scene.

The screaming woman called out to her relatives in the house who contacted the police. The traumatised woman was taken to the Arima District Medical facility where tests confirmed she was sexually brutalised. The woman, who recognised one of her attackers from the village, later made a report to the police. Police said they expect an arrest soon and Constable Cavalier is investigating.
