No bail for Chadee held with cocaine

WINFIELD CHADEE, 30, a relative of executed murderer Dole Chadee, was refused bail and remanded into custody by a Princes Town magistrate before whom he appeared yesterday charged with trafficking $2 million in cocaine, possession of an AK-47 machine gun and three live rounds of 7.52 mm ammunition.

Chadee, who stood before First Court Magistrate Jai Narine, was not called on to plea as all charges were laid indictably. He was remanded into custody pending tracing and is due to reappear in court next Monday. Chadee was arrested and charged on Thursday following a police raid at a house at Pascal Road, Piparo, where officers allegedly found and seized an AK-47 machine gun and $2 million worth of cocaine.
