One great network
THE EDITOR: Many Trinidadians and Tobagonians in this blessed land of Trinidad and Tobago believe that progress is impossible without change. Transfor-mation is the latest craze that has hit NBS radio since November of last year. The NBS workers protested the improper way management is handling Vsep and other transformation methods. As a special fan of Radio 100 since 1978, I do not want the more experienced announcers to exit the airwaves. Radio announcers come and go but we would surely miss the voice of Sharon Pitt, David McIntyre, Allan Diaz, Debra, DK and Alex who have imbedded a remarkable reputation of touching the hearts and minds of the station’s listeners. Though he is a man of humble background and one that should deserves a national award, Allan Diaz has continuously been the expert of grooving with the right mood for the people.
Each evening except Sundays you would hear Radio 100 sounds playing in taxi stands, maxi taxis, PTSC buses, private vehicles and many homes. This DJ has saved many lives and it always 100fm, the experienced sound of radio. If you do not listen to this station (the station with the right mix — all others need a fix) you will never know that Alex in the morning is par excellence. The more you listen, the better it sounds when Debra Maynard enters. Later in the morning there is David McIntyre known as Mac Daddy making sure you arrive at your destination safely on the black carpet then at sundown Allan is on the move with his groove. Anyone listening to this station would not have time to get involved in crime. The music soothes you and when you listen more you will often get a message of life.
Now the radio station has put on a female voice in the name of Ms Ramlogan. She has started off with a bang. Like she was there all the time. Last but not least is the engine force of making sure the announcers get their music. the staff and in the library and others come together to form the great network. So whatever the management is deciding, please do not spoil it for the thousands of Radio 100fm listeners old and young.
