P/Town man robbed
A Princes Town man was robbed of $300 on Friday, after refusing to comply with two unidentified men who approached him demanding that he hand over his belongings. According to police sources, around 7.30 pm Nickie Maharaj, 27, a salesman of St Croix Road, Princes Town was walking along the Naparima Mayaro Road in the vicinity of First Citizens Bank when two men approached him and demanded money. Maharaj reportedly refused and was subsequently manhandled and searched, during which $300 was confiscated. The men escaped on foot. PC Sookdeo of the Princes Town CID is spearheading investigations.
