Woman raped in Point Fortin

Point Fortin Police are searching for two men believed to have raped a Point Fortin woman early Sunday morning. According to reports, the woman, aged 25, of Techier Village, Point Fortin, was waiting for transportation at about 3 am near the Point Fortin Senior Secondary School, when two men in a van pulled along side her and offered her a ride. The woman reportedly accepted the ride. The men, however, drove to the Guapo landfill site where one of the men pulled out a gun and ordered the woman to remove her clothing.

The men then took turns raping the woman before driving off, leaving her behind. Following the ordeal, the young woman walked to the Guapo Police Station where she reported the incident. A medical examination conducted on the woman confirmed that she was sexually assaulted. Constable Rampersad of the Guapo Police Station is continuing investigations.
