ALNG Train IV workers back on job tomorrow

Leader of the former striking contract workers at Atlantic LNG’s Train IV project, Ernest Thompson, is expected to return to work tomorrow morning and lead the workers back to the construction site. For ten weeks, the outspoken rigger/fabricator led over 1,800 workers in strike action for better wages and working conditions at the construction site. Thompson was expected to undergo drug/alcohol tests yesterday and an orientation session today in preparation for his return to work tomorrow. Meanwhile, an official at Bechtel International said preparations for the resumption of operations at Train IV were proceeding “without hitches” and expressed optimism that work would resume in full swing by next week.
