The condition of Canadian Karateka Robert McDonald, who was shot in his head by a bandit two days ago has been described as “critical.” According to information Mc Donald, who has had at least two operations performed on him since Thursday night has not regained consciousness and is now warded at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit.

McDonald and a team of Canadian karatekas, who are in Trinidad to take part in a karate tournament at the University of the West Indies, were walking back to the Hosannah hotel on Santa Margarita Road after having had dinner at the House of Chan, Emerald Plaza, Eastern Main Road, St Augustine, when they were confronted by three gunmen.
