Burglars hit Sando hospital and City Corporation

Police are investigating separate burglaries at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) and the San Fernando City Corporation (SFCC), in which more than $32,000 worth of items was stolen. The break-ins were discovered by employees of both institutions when they reported for work on Wednesday morning. According to police reports, workers discovered a door to a workshop on the SFGH compound forced open at around 7 am and tools valued at $7,600 missing.


About 15 minutes later, a laptop valued at $25,000 was reported missing from the SFCC. Reports were made to the San Fernando CID and detectives and fingerprint experts visited both institutions in search of clues. Up to late yesterday, no arrests had been made nor had any of the stolen items been recovered. Investigations are continuing.
