Chamber: How many more must die?

In light of the recent death of Canadian martial arts teacher, Robert Macdonald, the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce is wondering how many more people must be killed at the hands of bandits roaming the country. “Enough is enough,” the Chamber exclaimed in a release issued yesterday. According to the Chamber, “The police know exactly what they have to do.

There are too many guns in the hands of the criminals and there is need for an effective drive to gain control of these guns and remove them from the streets.” The release noted that lawbreakers have absolutely no value for life. The Chamber called on the Government to take a strong and decisive stand against crime and violence, especially if they are serious about promoting Trinidad and Tobago as a tourist destination.
