PM motivated by children’s smiles on Toy Drive

Persad-Bissessar was speaking to reporters as she continued her Christmas Toy drive along the Penal Rock Road, Penal. “It is tiring. When I’m done for the day I am tired, but when you see the children and their parents, it just gives you the energy and inspiration.” Persad- Bissessar said.

“..and there is a God above and he gives me the strength,” she smiled.

During the month of December, the Prime Minister had journeyed to Port-of- Spain, Arima, Couva, Mayaro, Tobago, San Fernando to conduct her Christmas Toy Drive.

Dressed in red, wearing a Santa Claus hat Persad-Bissessar, began her toy drive along the Penal Rock road shortly after 2pm. Persad-Bissessar will return to her constituency today to mark the end of the Toy Drive.

She paid special thanks to sponsors of the toys and all those who helped with preparations. Each child were presented with a toy while parents were also given gifts.
