Body washes ashore at Sea Lots
BESSON street police are seeking assistance to identify the body of a man found washed up on the shore at Pioneer Drive, Sea Lots around 10 am yesterday. The body appears to be that of a man in his 40s. While there were several bruises on his upper body, police could not say if there were inflicted by someone or if they were caused while the body was battered by the waves. Police are awaiting the autopsy results to determine cause of death. The body was spotted by a youth going to pay. Police said they had no leads and believe he could have fallen off a boat and drowned in the rough seas caused by Hurricane Ivan.
