Woman injured in Central crash

A 25-year-old woman was seriously injured on Sunday night in a vehicular accident in Carapichaima. According to police reports, a white Nissan Wingroad wagon driven by Adesh Morali was heading east along the Orange Field Road around 6.45 pm, when it collided with a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Mukesh Ramsubag, which was travelling in the opposite direction. The report stated that the Wingroad spun around several times on impact at Perseverance Road Junction.


Ramsubag’s common-law wife Jasmine Samaroo of Aranjuez, San Juan, who was in the front passenger seat, was reportedly seriously injured and had to be rushed by an ambulance to the Chaguanas Health Facility. Samaroo was treated and later transferred to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where she was warded up to late yesterday for multiple injuries to the head. Ramsubag escaped with bruises about the body. Freeport police are investigating.
