Firemen save Maraval house
A Maraval house owned by a taxi driver, was partially destroyed by fire yesterday. According to reports, Maraval resident George Rudder, 49, left his home around 7.25 am to drop his children to school and left his brother Peter at home. Shortly afterwards, Rudder received a call that his house was on fire. On arrival at the house, fire officers found a bedroom at the northern side of the house on fire. Officer Joseph from the Wrightson Road Fire Department and other firemen managed to prevent the fire from spreading.
