20 arrested in police exercises

TEN men were arrested and several houses searched between 12 noon on Friday and 4 am yesterday in police exercises in the Curepe and Champs Fleurs areas. The men were arrested for various offences, including possession of narcotics, larceny, housebreaking and robbery. They will appear before a Tunapuna magistrate tomorrow. The exercise coordinated by Senior Superintendent Ghany was led by Supt Trim. Also in the exercise were Insp Modeste, Sgts Daniel and Worrel and PC Ramjattan. In an unrelated matter ten other persons were also held on similar offences during exercises carried out in the Cunupia and Caroni areas on Friday. The exercise coordinated by Inspector Kirk, included Sgt Ramlogan and members of the Central Division Task Force.
