Woman raped by ‘pub friend’

A D’ABADIE woman was raped by a man she met at an Arima pub. According to reports, around 7.30 pm, the woman met a man at the Arima pub during an “after work lime” and the two immediately “hit it off.” Sometime later the man suggested they take a walk and on reaching behind the Princess Royal Park, Arima, the man put a knife to the woman’s neck and ordered her to strip, where he proceeded to have sex without her consent. The traumatised woman made a report to the Arima police station and was later taken to the Arima District Medical Facility where a test confirmed she was sexually assaulted.
