Father jailed 2 years for beating baby

A Port-of-Spain father of four was yesterday jailed for two years after pleading guilty to severely beating his 11-month-old baby boy. Appearing before Magistrate Avason Quinlan was Kevin Livingston, 38, of St Joseph Road, Port-of-Spain. Livingston appeared before the magistrate in the City’s Fourth Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to the charge laid by WPC Arissa Andrews of the Besson Street Police Station. The court heard that on October 22, the 11-month-old baby was left by his mother in his father’s care when it received the beating.
