Credit union display in Tobago

The Tobago Regional Chapter of the Co-operative Credit Union League of Trinidad and Tobago recently held its first Credit Union Trade Fair and Expo at the Market Square Car Park in Scarborough. The event was part of the Credit Union Week celebrations, and nine credit unions from throughout the island participated in the one-day event which was aimed at highlighting the products and services credit unions offer.

In his address, Chief Secretary Orville London commended the credit unions for partnering with their clients in a meaningful way. He also called on credit unions to use their traditionally intimate relationship with their membership to influence them positively so that Tobagonians could benefit from the rapid development taking place in the island. Credit Union Week ended on October 23 with the Tobago Regional Chapter hosting a gala award ceremony at the Hilton Tobago.
