However, the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT ) failed to bridge the gap, or even take the top spot, after they drew 1-1 with Central 500 Spartans.
Barrackpore have a total of ten points after five games, while UTT have eight points from four fixtures this season.

Ricardo Alleyne pulled one back in the 53rd for Prisons but Mikheil Peters restored the two-goal advantage, six minutes later. There was one major twist to the tale, as Prisons fought back to earn a share of the points, courtesy strikes from Anthony Parris, in the 64th, and Alleyne, in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
At the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground in Chaguanas, UTT took the lead in the 23rd through Isaiah Mejias but Central 500 Spartans levelled the scores in the 84th courtesy of Josiah Alleyne.
Carenage United whipped cellar-placed Saddle Hill Hotspur 5-3 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium’s Training Field in Mucurapo. Micah Lansiquot (second and fifth), Kendell Baptiste (35th), Kathon St Hillaire (61st) and Anthony Penn (71st) found the back of the net for Carenage, while Cyrano Glen (45th), Hakeem King (46th) and ex-national striker Stern John (86th) replied for Saddle Hill.
And, at the Diego Martin North Secondary School Ground, Petit Valley/Diego Martin United pipped Youth Stars 5-4.
Adrian Millette (29th, 70th and 77th) and Kieno Goodridge (75th and 84th) netted for Petit Valley/ Diego Martin while Raoul Trotman (10th and 38th) and Hakeem Legall (16th and 52nd) got the goals for the visitors.
