Blood hosts read-a-thon and show in Bon Air

A Read-A-thon and show titled “I’m Calling” will be hosted to raise funds for this initiative which will take place on September 3 at 6.30 pm at the Bon Air West Community Centre, corner of Coneshell Drive and Blue Mussel Street, Bon Air West, Arouca.

A donation of $50 will help offset costs.

I’m Calling is a series of public readings aimed at raising funds to produce media programmes.

The readings are excerpts from monologues and dialogues taken from a number of writers, local and international. It will feature young persons and the young at heart. Some of the performers include Brendon O’Brien, spoken word poet, performer, director and television personality; Alicia Psyche Haynes, an actress and teacher from Point Fortin who has performed in over ten theatrical productions; Aryana Mohammed, actress and drama teacher, whose most recent works include Two Choices under the National Theatre Arts Company and the film, Home Invasion; and Roberts, the producer, who is a radio, television, screen and stage actor.
