THA to build Moriah Health Centre

Admitting that the health centre has been a long-standing project for the Assembly, she said approvals were recently obtained for its construction which would be managed by the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UdeCOTT), as the project manager.

The new centre is to be built on the Indian Walk Estate in Moriah.

UDeCOTT has responded with a brief project description on its official website page.

According to the UDeCOTT webpage, “The proposed Moriah Health Centre will be equipped to accommodate a pharmacy, nurses’ section, examination rooms, dental offices, medical offices and a general waiting area for the people of Moriah.

The 12,000 sq. ft.

single-storey reinforced building will also offer adequate parking and landscaped grounds for staff, as well as patients and their relatives”.

Gr o ome - D u k e stated that DHSS is collaborating with the Division of Infrastructure and Public Utilities (DIPU) and UDeCOTT on the project.
