TSTT on standby in Tobago
TSTT stands ready to assist NEMA and the Tobago House Assembly in repair works in Tobago following the damage of its facilities on the windward side of the island, leaving 700 customers without service. Following a preliminary assessment, in the wake of Friday’s heavy showers and mud slides, TSTT discovered damage done to its facilities along the Delaford to Speyside areas.
In a release, TSTT’s Vice President/ Customer Relationship Manage-ment, Stephen Sheppard said that the landline and mobile service has been impacted as the fibre optic cable has been severely damaged. As such, customers are unable to call in or out of these affected areas.
“TSTT repair crews will be mobilised to undertake repairs as soon as the Ministry of Works is able to make the road passable and we stand ready to assist NEMA and the Tobago House of Assembly should the need arise,” Sheppard added.
