Agard added that she could not provide any more information as the matter was a private one.
The NWRHA has called for a full report into the matter. Chief executive officer at the NWRHA,Sheldon Cyrus said after the aspiring doctor claimed she was under stress, it was thought wise that counselling be provided. “She is not on duty, but a counsellor has been offered to sort her out to find out what the problem is,” Cyrus said.
It was as yet undetermined what disciplinary action would be taken against the young woman, however, Cyrus had said earlier this week that this was a matter that had to be dealt with by the Health Ministry as the NWRHA was not responsible for the interns.
