Fairness for Telco retirees

I speak on behalf of many other retirees who are not getting the assistance of the representative union as it has indicated it is only looking after the interests of active workers Other unions, like OWTU, negotiate on behalf of their retirees (in addition to active workers) and excesses in their retiree plans are applied as increases at the end of each contract period (three years) based on cost of living allowance.

These retirees have built the foundations of TSTT and the profits that are realised today are partly due to the hard work and loyalty of these said retirees.

The chairman is a man of integrity and fair play and I expect urgent compliance on our behalf.

It has been six years since a miniscule increase was received and we are asking for his intervention to provide equity to all retirees.
