Man killed in Mayaro

Dead is Mano Lallo of Grand Lagoon Village, Mayaro. According to police reports, at about 9.30am, Lallo, a caretaker, was on duty at a building in Guayaguayare when he was killed. Reports said that a friend went to check on Lallo after efforts to contact him on his cell phone proved futile. Lallo’s body was found in front of the building near the front door covered in blood.

Investigators said his head was bashed in and his face unrecognisable.

A piece of iron pipe was also found near his body. An autopsy is expected to be performed today at the Forensic Science Centre. The murder toll has now increased to 385 for the year. Investigations are continuing
