Education Ministry praises Chaguanas North Sec

“I can say that we are very pleased, we are very impressed at the tremendous strides the school has undertaken. In fact where discipline is concerned there has been a tremendous improvement and I must compliment the School Principal, the Vice Principal and the teaching staff for the wonderful work they are doing,” Garcia said.

In a press release, Garcia stated that the visit to the school was to get first hand information on progress made at the school in the area of discipline, after a group of students was removed from the school environment and sent to Learning Enhancement Centres in February 2016.

The release said the Ministry’s team included Dr Lovell Francis, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Chief Education Harrilal Seecharan and Acting Permanent Secretary Angela-Sinaswee Gervais.

They also visited the Charlieville ASJA Muslim School and Caroni SDMS Hindu Primary School where they met with the teaching faculty.

Students of Caroni SDMS Hindu Primary School also took the opportunity to entertain the executive team with a National Song and a religious Bhajan.
