Diego Martin man shot in face

A DIEGO Martin man is now resting in a comfortable condition at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital after being shot twice in the face. According to reports, around 7.45 am yesterday Albion Murray, 38, of Eligon Avenue, Diego Martin was sitting in a car on Mercer Street, Diego Martin when a man walked up to him and fired several shots, hitting him twice in his face. According to investigation, sometime earlier after “liming” with friends at “Zone Bar” Western Main Road, St James, Murray hired a car to take him home. On reaching the corner of Mercer Street and the Diego Martin Main Road, he ordered the driver to stop and allow him to purchase a beer at a nearby grocery. While walking towards the grocery Murray was confronted by man, however, Murray was able to purchase a beer, and return to the car in which the gunman shot him. Police believe the shooting is related to some old grievance.
