Male mentorship workshops for Carenage

Acting deputy permanent secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts, Beverly Reid-Samuel delivered remarks on behalf of Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly.

She said the ministry recognises the role that it plays in youth development in communities across Trinidad and Tobago. As such, she formally applauded the work of The Esimaje Foundation towards empowering men to take full advantage of opportunities that foster healthy fatherhood functioning, positive leadership and accountability in the home, community and nation.

She also noted that in May, the Ministry launched the Reach Mentorship Programme in collaboration with The Association of Female Executives of Trinidad and Tobago (AFETT ), which focused on young women in society.

The event was attended by representatives of various religious organisations and educational bodies.

The ministry stated it is proud to partner with the Esimaje Foundation in this initiative geared towards connecting young men with mentors, professionals in various fields, who will guide them towards progressive thinking and development.
