Las Lomas toddler drowns in pool

According to reports, the child’s mother, Freeda Sankar was at home with her daughter Sethra taking a nap, when Sankar fell asleep. She was awakened by the sound of her backdoor opening.

On checking she discovered her daughter missing.

The frantic woman, ran outside in the vicinity of the swimming pool and saw to her horror, the body of her tiny daughter floating.

The woman jumped into the pool, took the toddler out and attempted CPR. Despite her efforts the child failed to respond.

A report was made to officers at the Las Lomas Police Post, and the child was rushed to a medical institution where she was pronounced dead.

Officers carried out enquiries and the distraught mother was interviewed.
