Prisoner escapes from Carrera

A PRISONER has escaped from the Carrera Island Prison. According to a prisons’ report sometime around 9 am when checks were being made, Ian Allen, 30 of Manahambre Road, Princes Town was discovered missing. Allen was serving eight years hard labour for unlawful killing. The escapee has been described as armed and dangerous. He has a small scar over his right eye, others on his left and right elbow, and right shoulder. He is of  dark brown in complexion, has curly hair and is of mixed origin. He is 154 cm tall and has brown eyes. Persons with information as to his whereabouts have been asked to contact the nearest police station or the prison authorities. Up to late yesterday the Carenage police claimed they had received no official report of Allen’s  escape.
