Speaking one’s truth harmful
They are called upon to recant and to apologise.
They are made, quite often, to lose their livelihood. It is fast becoming detrimental to actually speak one’s truth.

When a person makes a statement which he or she sincerely believes to be a truth, an apology then, to my way of thinking, is a totally empty gesture.
To quote an old maxim: a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.
