Another tie in Courts All Sectors Netball League

This time it was the Championship Division game between Las Lomas and Defence Force contested at the Eastern Regional Indoor Arena, Tacarigua.

The game ended 28-28, despite Las Lomas leading 8-6; 17-14 up to the halftime break.

But Defence Force mounted a strong rally to knot up the scores 22-22 at the end of the third period.

National player Raquel Russell led Las Lomas with 15 goals, sister Ayana Russell getting nine and Anita Pitt-Russell, four.

Goal-attack Jody Sprott scored 21 of 36 attempts; Samantha Kinsale,six; and Melissa Snaggs one goal for Defence Force. In another match in the same division, Police whipped UTT 44-32, leading all the way 12-11; 24-17; 34-23.

Veteran Patrice Goring ed the policewomen with 37 goals from 52 attempts while Donessa Wickham had six from 10. Lystra Solomon-Simmons scored one of her two attempts.

Akeilah Francis scored 13 goals, Aiesha Collins 10 and Oprah Douglas nine for UTT.dium
