2 shot in separate incidents

King was shot in the chest and legs by the suspect who then ran off. He was rushed to Arima District Hospital by relatives and transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was warded in a serious condition. Later, Gregory Alexander was walking along the Carapo Main Road when he was fired upon by an unknown gunman.

He was hit several times and was taken to hospital by passers-by.

Investigations are continuing into these two incidents. Newsday was told that Head of Northern Division, Snr Supt Mc Donald Jacob was to have met with key stakeholders in the division including Arima MP Anthony Garcia to discuss crime in the constituency. So far for the year, eight murders were committed in the Northern Division.
