Whiteman leads Heatwave to Siparia sweep

The race, which started and ended at the Siparia Regional Corporation, took cyclists through La Brea, Point Fortin, Palo Seco and Santa Flora.

Whiteman won gold in approximately two hours, fininshing ahead of his teammates Edwin Sutherland and Jamol Eastmond.

Tyler Cole of Team Drive Phase Sport (DPS) was fourth, followed by Enrique De Comarmond (Heatwave), Kemp Orosco (Team DPS) and Marc Pogson (Heatwave).

The event, which was hosted by the Siparia Regional Corporation and the Rigtech Sonics Cycling Club, saw 40 cyclists competing which included juniors, juveniles and masters.
