Body in car identified

She learned of the death via the media and when Jacob did not return home, she went to the Centre to identify the body.

Police said that shortly before 8 am on Tuesday, residents of Bachan Trace observed the then unidentified man slumped in the backseat of a Nissan B14 car parked along the roadside.

Blood was seeping from a bullet wound to the forehead.

Residents contacted police who visited the scene and a District Medical Officer subsequently ordered its removal to the centre.

Residents said that they first observed the unknown car on Monday night but paid no mind.

It was only the following morning when they recognised that the vehicle remained in the same location that a resident decided to check and made the discovery.

Investigations are ongoing.
