RBTT, Century Eslon turn tap on water plant
RBTT and Century Eslon helped bring relief to hurricane-hit Grenada with the setting up of a desalination plant at the Coast Guard Base in True Blue. The plant was set up shortly after Hurricane Ivan devastated the island. Still reeling from the destruction, the people of Grenada were in dire need of a steady supply of purified water. Following its initial hurricane relief contributions to the island of more than one million, RBTT readily responded to the suggestion from Century Eslon Managing Director, Gerard Williams to set up an emergency water purification system.
“Once the level of devastation in Grenada had been communicated, RBTT committed to doing all in our power to get our staff, customers and the general public back on their feet,” said Maxim Pazos, RBTT Regional Director, Eastern Caribbean. He said collaborating with Century Eslon on such a vital project was indeed an opportunity for the bank and praised Century Eslon spearheading the initiative.
