Keep a clean environment

Most of our drains which were by government-built and our roads were cleaned and swept by the various corporations.

This has now stopped and only garbage is collected.

What a shame.

However, we must still do our part by putting all refuse in a covered dustbin or bag for disposal.

We must also keep our houses and yards free of discarded tins, broken bottles, old tyres, coconut shells or any other container likely to collect water and breed mosquitoes.

We must likewise keep a tightly covered bin for all waste food instead of throwing it into the yard for rats, flies and even pigeons.

We must always wash our hands with soap and water after using the bathroom.
