TTMS forecasts hot days ahead

The hot spell conditions are because of the prolonged presence of a high-pressure system above TT that has been increasing during the last 48 hours.

These high temperatures can be hazardous to health so older or frail persons, persons with long-term or serious illnesses, young children and disabled adults, who may be susceptible to the heat, should be especially cautious during this time.

The hottest time of the day is expected to be between 11am to 2pm and people are advised to stay hydrated during this period and wear appropriate coverage.
