No LPG shortage in TT

OFFICIALS at the National Petroleum Marketing Company Ltd yesterday said there was no truth to reports of a gas shortage in Trinidad and Tobago. Early yesterday, Newsday received unconfirmed reports of a shortage of 20-pound liquefied petroleum gas (lpg) cylinders, but checks with NP revealed those reports were false. NP officials also indicated that there was no other type of fuel shortage reported anywhere in TT yesterday. Officials at Ramco Industries Ltd said the demand for 20-pound lpg cylinders was always high, but there was no crisis in that area.
