$13M complex launched in Pleasantville

CONSTRUCTION has begun on a $13 million commercial complex in Pleasantville. On Tuesday, Junior Trade and Industry Minister, Diane Seukeran, deputised for Prime Minister Patrick Manning at the sod-turning ceremony for the 45-unit complex. On completion in the next eight months, the complex will house seven workshops, seven offices, a food court, six kiosks and a conference room. Seukeran urged residents to utilise the complex for both personal and community development. 


Also attending the ceremony was Housing Minister Dr Keith Rowley, who encouraged residents to enhance their standard of living by making use of the opportunities provided by the commercial complex. The complex will have space for the setting up of trade workshops, in which residents of the area will be trained in various skills. The food court will accommodate persons from within the community who are in the culinary business.
