TOBAGO POLICE SEIZE $2 MILLION IN ‘GANJA’
Compressed marijuana with a street value of about $2 million was seized from an apartment home at Cemetery Street in Lambeau, near Scarborough, on Saturday. Some 205 packets of the illegal herb were found stacked in garbage bags for distribution.
The house was reportedly under surveillance for several days. The drug-find was part of a police exercise conducted between Friday evening and yesterday morning. The exercise was co-ordinated by ACP (Tobago) Michael Thomas and executed by members of the Special Task Force. No one was arrested in connection with the marijuana but police said an arrest is imminent.
