Beauty queen injunction remains in effect
THE INJUNCTION to stop the selection process to replace Trinidad and Tobago’s representative to the Miss Universe 2005 pageant, Cheryl Ankrah, remains in effect until the matter is again called on March 9. Ankrah, who filed the injunction on February 19 — the day on which her replacement was scheduled to be named — was accompanied to the Port-of-Spain Assizes by her attorneys Denyse Gouveia and Andre des Vignes. The matter was heard by Justice David Myers. Attorneys Om Lalla and Bejili Lalla are representing Peter Elias and Associates Ltd and are expected to file an affidavit by March 3.
