Bakr summing-up now on Wednesday

BOTH the defence team and State prosecutors were informed yesterday that the trial judge in the conspiracy to murder case against Jamaat al Muslimeen leader Imam Yasin Abu Bakr, will begin his summing-up of the case on Wednesday, and not on Tuesday, as previously arranged. Last week, lead prosecutor Sir Timothy Cassel QC, took two hours to address the jury in the trial which is being heard by Justice Mark Mohammed at the Hall of Justice in Port-of-Spain. Bakr, who is being represented by Pamela Elder SC and Owen Hinds Jr, is before the courts on a charge of conspiracy to murder. Elder spent two days delivering her address to the jury.
