Teen stabbed dead in Grande

NINETEEN-year-old Henry Rodney of Nexar Avenue, Ramdass, Sangre Grande, died after receiving stab wounds to his chest. According to police reports, the teen was at his home with two friends, when a girl called out to him. He left the friends and went to speak with the young girl. Shortly afterwards, he came running inside, shouting, “Call an ambulance.” He then fell to the ground. The two friends said they saw the girl fleeing the scene.

A mother of two is assisting police in the investigations. Rodney was taken by friends to the Sangre Grande Hospital, where he later died. Senior Supt Ruthven Bastien, Insp Edmond Thomas, Sgt Chune, Cpl Beverly Paul, and police photographer Pamela Persad visited the scene. Paul of the Sangre Grande Police Station is investigating.
