Mr Newsday thrills them at MovieTowne

THE crowd gathered for the Second Annual Easter Bunny Parade at MovieTowne was in for a treat as the little ones took to the stage in elaborate costuming depicting several themes associated with Easter. In the Babes In Arms category, four-month-old Meagan Thomas placed first among 23 contestants. Thomas was dressed in a costume entitled, Spring Is In the Air. In the paper category little Jade Jemmott (1 yr 11 months) portrayed a costume of Mr Newsday. He brought loud cheers from the audience when he took to the stage in a costume made out of Newsday past printed papers. The costume was complete with hat and basket. 

Other winners in the Babes In Arms category include Haseena Crichlow, Genia Macano, Tyland Allan, Zicco Koriaga, Joshay Marshall, Maya Romanie, Sidney Persad and Marrissa Luke. In this category Marshall’s outfit Leaf It Up won the prize for the most original costume. In the movie category little Marrissa Mohammed, 9, portrayed the character of Christine of the Hollywood film: Phantom of the Opera. The eventual winner of the MovieTowne Easter Petite Princess will win a trip for four to St Lucia.
