Promenade shooting victim laid to rest

OBA JONES, the 24-year-old Unem-ployment Relief Programme (URP) worker who was shot dead on the Brian Lara Promenade last Thursday, was buried at the Tunapuna Cemetery yesterday following a brief funeral service at the Queen Street Mosque in Port-of-Spain. The funeral was attended by several URP workers and John John residents. Police officers from the Besson Street Police Station carried out surveillance at the funeral to ensure that law and order prevailed.
