Woman charged with husband’s murder
A 38-YEAR-OLD Couva woman was yesterday charged with the murder of her common-law husband, Brian Moore, who was stabbed to death last Friday at his Alexander Street home in Couva. The incident occurred during an argument over the woman’s late return home. The woman also sustained injuries during the knife attack, and had been warded at San Fernando General Hospital. The argument, which resulted in Moore’s death, occurred in the couple’s living room. The woman was discharged from hospital on Wednesday. Sgt Lumy of the Couva CID charged her with Moore’s murder, and she will appear before a Couva magistrate today to answer the charge. In another killing involving a couple, Deputy Director of Public Prose-cutions, Roger Gaspard, has ordered an inquest in the death of Marilyn Alexander St Clair, of Sobo Village, La Brea. St Clair, 43, was stabbed on Saturday morning in an incident in which a man also received injuries with the weapon. The man was discharged from hospital on Tuesday.
