Bad ethics will drive away customers

COMPANIES  that are not prepared to adhere to  ethical standards in the world  of business could find themselves ostracised and they could lose their customers. This, from Dr Suruj  Rambachan, Mayor of Chaguanas as he addressed members of Guardian Life of the Caribbean  Limited  (Lennox Barrow Branch)  at a  Breakfast Meeting at Kam  Po Restaurant, Ramsaran Street, Chaguanas, last week. He stressed that people who provided service to the community in any  form should always strive for higher ideals.

He said that if a business had to succeed,  trust must be reciprocal between customers and the business itself, noting that at no time should  a business lose  the customers’ trust The mayor said that if a business engaged in unethical behaviour, the consequences could be  damaging. The Lennox Barrow Branch located in Chaguanas celebrated its Million Dollar Round Table  achievement, a pinnacle of achievement in the insurance world.

Rookie of the Year was Vedeish Maharaj with Alimuddin Mohammed, a former chairman of the San Juan Businessmen’s  Association, honoured for being elevated to the Court of the Round Table.
