Circumstances can deter bandits in TT
THE EDITOR: Manning is right. He has taken all steps required to ensure that terrorism does not occur in Trinidad. Because of carefully calculated food price increases, insurgents must now spend their money on food, ham or beer instead of bomb supplies. And as far as we know bombs cannot be made from yam or cassava. In the event that they are financed by third parties, Manning has ensured that we have a non-existent bus service, so suicide bombers have nothing to blow up.
There are also so many bandits in maxis that would-be suicide bombers will be robbed and stabbed to death before they detonate their explosives. Even so, insurgents will also be unable to enter the capital, since the deliberate gridlock traffic into the city will frustrate them, forcing them to abandon their suicide mission or dump the bomb in a bin. And if all else fails to stop the terrorist, Manning can give us statistics to show that terrorist bombings have decreased since last year, or re-categorise the act of terror as an act of stupid prankster with a yam-made bomb. All hail Father Manning. May we always have enough yam to eat instead. God bless.
