MYOC — Mind Your Own Constituency First

THE EDITOR: Trinbagonians are adept at taking pre-emptive action to avoid being bitten by goats. The alternative to goat-bite avoidance is to be consigned to a life of not being able to do and/or say anything right even on national security matters. The eye-in-the-sky zeppelin spying technology that damaged taxpayers to the tune of $24M   and daily increasing was justified on its capability to spy even for microscopic drugs/guns via its remote sensing technology in areas stretching as far as south as the Orinoco River and beyond Barbados.

At present it already needs repairs after its initial secretive launch. Readers can appreciate my comic relief when it surfaced last week that drug dens and an open lucrative narcotic trade had stretched its nefarious tentacles and long taken over Mon Repos and Pleasantville — the backyard of the PM’s San Fernando East Constituency. We cannot detect and eradicate illicit drug trafficking in the very backyard of our constituencies but we “big up” on being able to assist Grenada, PM Gonzales’ St Vincent and Arthur’s Barbados in beefing up their drug interdiction capabilities.
